What do You think will happen in NW Calgary after the vote?? |
Regardless of the how you voted the important thing was that you did vote. It is one of the few chances of us having an effect within the our governments. |
Alberta’s October 19, 2026, referendum asked voters to consider ten questions covering immigration, access to provincially funded services, voting requirements, constitutional reform and Alberta’s future relationship with Canada.
They asked whether Alberta should seek greater control over immigration levels and employment priorities; restrict eligibility for provincially funded programs according to immigration status; introduce a 12-month residency requirement for certain social support programs; charge eligible non-permanent residents fees for health care and education; and require proof of Canadian citizenship to vote in provincial elections.
A referendum response should not automatically be treated as proof that a proposed change has already become law.
The official Elections Alberta website provides the exact ballot wording, referendum information and election updates. Readers can review the questions and official information at Elections Alberta’s referendum page.

Maybe it was the expired food in the fridge.

Most families wait too long to talk about senior living — not because they don't care, but because nobody handed them the map.
There's a real difference between independent living, assisted living, and long-term care in Calgary, and knowing which one your parent actually needs changes everything about the search.
We've put together a plain-language guide for NW Calgary families: the warning signs that matter, with senior safety, the three levels of care explained without jargon, and how to start the conversation in a way that protects your relationship instead of straining it. |
NW Calgary Mortgage Renewal Coming Up?? |

If you signed a mortgage back in the low-rate years, the renewal notice arriving in your mailbox this fall tells a very different story than the one you signed.

The households sailing through this cycle aren't luckier. They started six months early, knew their numbers before the bank did, and walked in with competing offers in hand.
